Volunteer members of the Hamilton St. John Ambulance Medical First Responder Unit provide emergency first aid services at a wide variety of public and private events within the greater Hamilton Region.  Including all home games for the Ti-Cats and Bulldogs, shows, concerts and other performances at locations such as First Ontario Place. County Fairs, charity runs and walks, parades and conventions, as well as local, provincial, national and international sporting events.

Initially to join you need to be at least 16 years of age, pass a police check and either have or be willing to undertake and pass a St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid course.  Once accepted all training and uniform is provided free of charge, but not without a catch.  We do expect our members to attend weekly training sessions, and to provide a minimum of 100 hours of event coverage per year.
