Description

The Museum Docent/Tour Guide role will have the primary responsibility of providing guided tours of the Erland Lee (Museum) Home to visitors. This will include greeting visitors, collecting admission fees, talking about the history of the property, mentioning items within the house that belonged to the Lee family, talking about the important role that Erland Lee played in the formation of the Women's Institute, taking visitors to the adjacent Carriage House and more.

Other duties (during times when tours are not happening), may include: gardening, light housekeeping, gift shop help, etc.

All necessary training will be provided and a written reference letter (suitable for school or job seeking purposes), may be requested after a period of time as a reliable volunteer.

Dates and Times

Museum Docent/Tour Guides are needed Thursday through Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each volunteer shift could be the full 6 hours, or it could be split into two, 3 hour shifts as well. A weekly commitment would be ideal.
