INKspire is a non-profit organization that strives to empower youth voices by providing a curated web platform where young people can share their ideas and perspectives on various relevant and contemporary issues across Canada and around the world.
INKspire is looking for a motivated, results-driven individual with a background in marketing and strong leadership skills to spearhead the marketing team at INKspire. You will be responsible for the organisation’s marketing and communications strategies as well as overall branding and image. The ideal candidate must have highly effective management and communication skills as well as be a creative and strategic thinker.
Roles/Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
Daily management and coordination of the marketing department
Lead weekly marketing team meetings (including sub-team meetings and full-team meetings) to ensure marketing goals are being met
Develop effective marketing strategies with marketing team and delegate tasks
Ensure that all marketing activities promote and maintain a positive brand image
Oversee the following teams in the marketing department:
Social Media (creating content for social media platforms and conducting active marketing)
Community Outreach (obtaining partnerships and collaborations, creating press releases and copywriting)
Web and Social Media Analytics (tracking Google analytics, social media analytics and other forms of analytics)
Events and Initiatives (coordinating and planning of events, initiatives and outreach activities)
Graphic Design (creating promotional and marketing materials)
Set, administer and keep track of annual marketing budget
Solid understanding of fundamental marketing principles and effective strategies
Strong leadership and management skills
Possess creative, strategic and analytic problem solving skills
Highly effective interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Interested in consumer behaviour and working with a variety of different people
Passionate about youth leadership and empowerment
Worked or volunteered in a non-profit setting (asset)
The successful volunteer will work remotely from home for 8-10 hours a week.
