Age 18 or over for most front-line positions (i.e. working directly with clients); Woman-identified and gender-fluid people unless specified otherwise; Minimum one year volunteer commitment after the completion of training; Provide a recent Vulnerable Sector Check; Regularly attend monthly volunteer meetings and SAVIS events; Most roles require the completion of Bingo training; Commitment to working towards a community free of violence

Description

Provide immediate support, crisis intervention and community resources to callers on the SAVIS 24 hour support and crisis line. Callers may have questions about their own experiences of abuse, or those of a friend or loved one. Callers may be in the process of coping with a recent or historical incident of violence and need emotional support or help in coping with a challenging situation.
