Description

Family Greeters at the front door:

  • Volunteer will be responsible for working directly with The Salvation Army Community and Family Services Clients and/or staff.
  • Responsible for greeting families during Christmas Hamper Distribution as they come through the door and direct them to next check point.
  • Supports incoming clients by assisting in any inquiries or directs questions to staff member.
  • Greeter is to be friendly and genuine, upbeat and courteous and very people oriented.
  • This volunteer position requires a lot of standing.

VOLUNTEER GREETERS FOR VOLUNTEER DESK:

  • Volunteer will be responsible for working directly with The Salvation Army Community and Family Services Volunteers and staff.
  • Responsible for greeting volunteers during Christmas Hamper Distribution as they come through the side door.
  • Responsible for getting Christmas volunteers to sign in at the desk and direct them to the next check point downstairs in the Volunteer Hub.
  • Greeter is to be friendly and genuine, upbeat and courteous and very people oriented.
  • This volunteer position requires a lot of sitting.

CHRISTMAS ELVES:

  • Volunteer will be responsible for working directly with The Salvation Army Community and Family Services designated toy staff member.
  • Volunteer is to assist by sorting toys in the back to prepare for shelf stocking .
  • Responsible for stocking toys on the shelves in the warehouse under the direction of the designate.
  • Elves are to be task oriented and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • This volunteer position requires a lot of standing and being mobile.

SANTA’S REINDEERS:

  • Volunteer will be responsible for working directly with The Salvation Army Community and Family Services delivery staff designate.
  • Assist with delivering hampers to clients that are shut ins.
  • Must have Valid G Drivers License.
  • Must be willing to use their own personal vehicle for deliveries.
  • Volunteer is to be friendly and genuine, upbeat and courteous and very people oriented.
  • This volunteer position requires a lot of sitting, standing, lifting, moving and driving.

KITCHEN HOSTESS:

  • Volunteer will be responsible for working directly with The Salvation Army Community and Family Services designated staff member.
  • Volunteer is responsible for helping to set up eating area and serve food to volunteers.
  • Hostess is to be task oriented and be able to work in a fast paced environment with attention to being person-oriented.
  • This volunteer position requires a lot of standing and being mobile.

HAMPER PACKERS:

  • Volunteer will be responsible for working directly with The Salvation Army designated staff member.
  • Volunteer is responsible for helping to pack food into hampers and assist with the hand out of the hampers.
  • Hostess is to be task oriented and be able to work in a fast paced environment with attention to being person-oriented.
  • This volunteer position requires a lot of standing and bending, lifting, and being mobile.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION:

  • Volunteer will be responsible for working directly with The Salvation Army staff and/or designate.
  • Assist with registering Clients for Christmas Hamper that have not already done so.
  • is to be task oriented and be able to work in a fast paced environment with attention to accurate data entry
  • Volunteer must be person-oriented and be courteous and friendly.
  • This volunteer position requires a lot of sitting.

VOLUNTEER COAT CHECK:

  • Volunteer will be responsible for working directly with The Salvation Army staff and/or designate.
  • Volunteer is to be responsible for taking the coats and checking coats in as the volunteers enter the volunteer hub.
  • Volunteer is to be task oriented and be able to work in a fast paced environment with attention to being person-oriented.
  • Volunteer to be friendly and outgoing with an emphasis on superior people skills.
  • This position requires that the coat checker do a lot of interacting with volunteers coming to help during Christmas Hamper Distribution and have a keen eye for keeping space organized.
  • This position requires volunteer to be mobile at all times.
