Description

LITERACY IMPROVEMENT CAN CHANGE LIVES...YOURS AND THE STUDENTS'

  • Work with English speaking adults (19 and up) who wish to improve their basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
  • We provide orientation, training, teaching materials and ongoing support from our staff.
  • We have tutor rooms to book and some of our tutors/students choose to meet in public libraries.
  • We are looking for a one year commitment and four hours per week working directly with your student and some lesson preparation time.

Benefits

Teaching adults to read, write and do math can be very rewarding for both student and tutor. The tutoring is goal-directed and ongoing support is provided. The potential benefits to tutor and student are limitless. You can help a student reach his/her goals; whether they are seeking employment, or independence.
