Change The World 2017: April 23rd - June 3rd
Thank-you for a great 2017 Campaign!
A huge "THANK-YOU" to all students, teachers, event organizers, organizations and schools who helped to make our 2017 campaign possible. An extra special shout-out to our 2017 youth ambassadors who began meeting in January and have collectively put in hundreds of hours to make it all possible.
We are pleased to announce that for 2017 we surpassed our campaign goals once again. What is ChangeTheWorld?
The ChangeTheWorld - Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge is a call to action for YOUth to get involved in their community
From April 23 to June 3, 2017 youth all across Ontario between the ages of 14 to 18 are invited to get involved in local community events, or to create events of their own to promote or support a cause that they are really passionate about.
ChangeTheWorld is an opportunity for young people, like YOU, to connect to community organizations which can provide you with an awesome experience and lasting memories. It also lets you take the initiative on causes you feel really passionate about.
In 2016, Volunteer Hamilton engaged 2,254 youth who all contributed an astounding 22,838 volunteer hours!
Our goal for 2017 is to engage 2,100 volunteers to complete 18,000 hours. We are thrilled to announce that we have surpassed that goal and engaged over 4,100 students to complete more than 22,000 hours!
